Kings of Leon

Saw Kings of Leon last night for the fourth (or was that fifth?). The first time was in 02/03 when the boys supported The Strokes. I think I was one of the very few that day who knew the band and heard any of the songs. From that first performance I've loved the boys since and its great to see them filling up the big stadiums. I view their recent album as a natural progression and not as them selling out! Still it was great hearing classics such as Wasted Time, California Waiting and Molly's Chamber again. Only downside was the mainstream/tween crowd who only knew Sex on Fire and no other songs. Who goes to a concert to hear one song??

Pretty much the only KoL remix I've liked is the Kenna and Chad Hugo remix of My Party. Sometimes less is more...

Sorry its only 128!

Martin Solveig - Live at Parklife 2008

Another fun set from last year's Parklife festival, this time from Martin Solveig. I've got admit I am  a massive fan of his C'es La Vie song. Did anyone else think the vocals on the track sound like they come from Michael Jackson? Wouldn't be a bad sound for Wacko Jacko to come back with. Actually Martin drops a Jacko sample near the start of his set...

More LunyP

You will remmber my previous post about LunyP - an up and coming DJ/remixer in the Sydney scene. The last post contained a lot of his Baltimore remixes and some cool mash ups. This time we have a couple of really cool mashps with my fave being Muscles vs Vanilla Ice (yes you heard right) and a miami bass style remix which shows that Luny isn't a one trick pony. Look for more mixes in the near future.  Can anyone say prolific much?

Jesse Rose - Live at Parklife 2008 + Megawatt

Jesse Rose tearing it up at Parklife just a couple of months ago. Watch out this is an epic 90 minute set!

***Bonus Credit***
Since you made it this far here is a banging remix of Kevin Rudolf's (worst name in pop today) - Let It Rock by Chicago's Megawatt. Def one for fans of Soulwax and Bloody Beetroots.
